Doctor Who - Shada by Gareth RobertsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Before reading this book, all I knew was that it was based on a "lost" story by Douglas Adams and that it was a fourth doctor story.
Now, the fourth doctor is far from my favourite doctor but I enjoyed this book immensely. The unmistakable Adams humour shines through, and Gareth Roberts has done sterling work here turning the scripts into a fully fleshed out novel.
I have to say that I guessed the 'twist' almost 3/4 of the way through the story but that's because I'm always actively seeking twists in stories (an annoying habit of mine) but it didn't detract from my enjoyment when my suspicions were confirmed.
I loved Professor Chronotis's TARDIS and my only disappointment was that Clare and Chris didn't become his companions and the three travel through time and space. Or maybe they did....!
