(Scared Lady by Vera Kratochvil)
There's no going back now, folks. The books and DVD ROMS for the Open University course I signed up for have arrived and I'm part excited/part wanting to hide under a very big stone until May 2013 (the course runs from Oct-May).
A few of you are already aware that I have taken an OU course before - A174 Start Writing Fiction, where I met the fragrant Pippa Jay and biker chick Chantal Halpin - but that lasted a mere 12 weeks and was a subject I was deeply interested in.
The course I'm starting in October is AA100 'Arts Past and Present' and takes in everything from the reputation of Cleopatra to Victorian seaside music. There are seven Tutor-Marked Assignments (TMAs), and one End of Module Assessment (EMA). If I pass the course, I'll get 60 credits I can put towards eventually getting a BA Open Degree but I need another 300 -odd credits to get that!
So, once the course commences I may not be online as much as usual (though I do realise that for the past couple of weeks, I've been offline a lot). If you do hear from me, though, I'll probably be begging for cookies and hugs (yes, in that order!).

Fragrant? *sniffs* That'll be the jasmine and honey shower gel that hubs complains about:P
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll do fine. They'll be plenty of plot bunny material in that lot. :D
Yeah, that's the one. ;-D
DeleteWell, I did see that as a plus. If I don't pass then at least I'll have plenty of inspiration for stories! :D
Biker chick? Lol! You'll only need 290 credits after this as A174 counts ;)
