Happy New Year, and I hope this year is already a good one for you all.
Straight into SFFSat, and I'm posting an excerpt from A Head For Assassination, which I really need to get finished as I've pencilled the release month as March of this year!!
In this piece Brogan and Darcy are discussing Dennis's claim that he was wrongfully killed. (Remember, Dennis is still alive - a decapited head - while being technically dead).
Brogan shrugged and looked across at The Butcher. 'I did think something wasn't quite right when I killed him. He didn't know who I was, or why I was there.'
'He was lying, Brogan,' Darcy said.
'No, I'm usually a good judge of character. I think he's telling the truth.'
Darcy spun round and stared at him. 'A good judge of character? You remember Arthur, don't you?'
And if you want to know more about this Arthur fellow, please feel free to get a copy of THE SHOEMAKER'S SON which tells the story of how Brogan met Darcy, in the dark days of 19th century Edinburgh (click HERE to get to the US site)
