Six Sunday 11/12/2011

Welcome to my new, shiny blog!

We continue with The Shoemaker's Son, a historical science fiction story set in 19th century Edinburgh, featuring time-travelling assassins and infamous bodysnatchers.

We time-travel (see what I did there?) back a bit in the story, this week. To Brogan and Darcy's first meeting, in 1807.

'Jesus Christ,' a voice called out behind him. Brogan jumped. 'They weren't lying about Scottish weather, were they? It's just like bloody London.' She was dressed very smartly like a noble woman. The purple fur-trimmed silk coat fell to her knees and was belted high at the waist, and underneath she wore a narrow pale pink dress made from muslin.
